Bangor, ME: The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation is pleased to announce it has awarded over $191,000 in grants to 19 non-profit organizations across Northern New England during its recent grant cycle. This marks the fourth giving cycle for the Foundation this calendar year, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to community support. The grants support initiatives that strengthen community resilience and promote economic growth in the region.
"These organizations champion causes and work tirelessly to meet the varied needs across our communities," said Bob Montgomery-Rice, President and CEO of Bangor Savings Bank. The Foundation for Maine’s Community Colleges is dedicated to ensuring that Maine’s seven community colleges have the resources they need to provide high-quality and affordable college education, and the SOS program has helped more than 1,000 students in the last four years, with 98% of beneficiaries either still in college or graduated.
